Event will be led by Mayor Pro Tem Lucille Kring, and will include patriotic music, a special guest speaker and a commemoration of the Marine Corps 240th birthday. Former KNX Radio Orange County Bureau chief and multi-award winner Mike Landa will serve as the event emcee.

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony

DETAILS:
Brigadier General Sylvia R. Crockett, Land Component Commander of the California Army National Guard, will be the guest speaker for the Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade on Wednesday, November 11. In this capacity, she is responsible for providing command and control over all non-divisional units in California.
The observance, hosted by Fullerton American Legion Post 142, Fullerton Emblem Club 469, and the City of Fullerton will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a parade in Fullerton’s historic downtown
The parade will begin at the Downtown Plaza, located on Wilshire Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard and adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center, go North on Harbor Blvd. and end at Hillcrest Park, which is located at the intersection of Harbor and Valley View Drive.

On Veterans Day we remember the sacrifices of those Americans who gave their time, their fighting spirit and sometimes their lives in war. In honor of Huntington Beach veterans, a Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza on November 11 at 11:00 am. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Jim Ghormley will be the Master of Ceremonies for the day.

Annual National Veterans Day Run

The 5th Annual National Veterans Day Run in Irvine will take place at Mike Ward (Woodbrige) Community Park. The race will offer three distances including an 11K, 5K and a 1-mile family and supporter walk/run. We expect a large turnout of Veterans and Active-Duty military to this race so come out and support the men and women of our armed forces.

Veterans Day Ceremonies

Irvine Mayor Steven S. Choi will speak at the City’s traditional Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will also feature remarks by Michelle De La Cruz, Commander, American Legion Post 838; and Lt. Col. Christian Ellinger, U.S. Marine Corps. The day will be highlighted by presentations from the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment Color Guard and the Irvine Police Department Honor Guard.

The San Juan Capistrano Veterans of Foreign Wars Serra Post 3801 will host a Veterans' Day Ceremony At Veterans' Park at 11:00 AM.
The celebration will include a speech given by VFW Commander Art Hasselbrink. Veterans Park is located at the corner of Camino Capistrano and Yorba Street. All are welcome to participate.
