Liquid Face Lift - An alternative
to surgery
(Information provided by Lorrie Klein, M.D)
You
can achieve a younger, fresher look without
surgery. The Liquid Face Lift (LFL) is a painless,
30 minute, in-office procedure. Utilizing various
fillers and Botox Cosmetic a LFL can rejuvenate
and lift your face to create a naturally younger
look.
A
typical LFL includes:
-
A consult with a cosmetic dermatologist, plastic
or facial plastic surgeon.
- As
much filler, such as Juvederm, Radiesse or
Artefill and BOTOX Cosmetic as is necessary
to achieve the best possible results. Different
fillers may be used for different areas of
the face during the same treatment.
- An
follow-up visit several weeks after your LFL
with an enhancement treatment if necessary
to fine-tune your results.
What
the Liquid Face Lift can do for you
-
Fill in wrinkles and folds, such as smile
lines and marionette lines
- Smooth
out frown lines, crows feet and forehead lines
- Enhance
and lift cheeks
- Restore
volume to flattening and sagging areas
- Lift
eyebrows up to their youthful position
- Hide
bags under eyes
-
Reduce jowls and create a straighter jawline
- Plump
lips and smooth out lip wrinkles
- Lift
up sagging corners of the mouth
Consult
- You should have a consult prior to your Liquid
Lift so your doctor can design your treatment,
discuss potential side effects (such as bruising)
and educate you about the procedure.
How
long will the results last - The results
will last as long as each product normally lasts.
BOTOX for example lasts 3-6 months while Radiesse
lasts 9-18 months. If Radiesse is the predominate
filler used then a 30 minute LFL will only need
to be repeated every 9-18 months. BOTOX and
Juvederm can be touched up as needed between
lifts.
Fees - Fees will vary but usually depend
on how much product is necessary. Because this
is a comprehensive treatment usually the fees
total less than what the charges for multiple
individual syringes or units of BOTOX would
be.
Where
should you go for this treatment - When
having a BOTOX or any filler treatment, look
for a cosmetic specialist, such as board-certified
cosmetic dermatologist, plastic or facial plastic
surgeon. Since this treatment is so comprehensive,
make sure the specialist you choose has had
abundant experience with using fillers and BOTOX
on all areas of the face, not just the smile
and frown lines! She or he should have experience
treating cheeks, noses, lips, eyebrows, jowl
lines, under eye creases, among other facial
areas. Feel free to ask to see before and after
photos of the doctor's work.
