FIRST ANNUAL OREGON CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL

Chocolate
Lovers everywhere will not want to miss the first annual
Oregon Chocolate Festival, Friday, March 4th and
Saturday, March 5th 2005, at the historic Ashland Springs
Hotel in beautiful downtown Ashland, Oregon. Oregon
has become a mecca for award winning chocolatiers, and
they are coming together for the first time, to participate
in an all Oregon chocolate festival. Set in the warm
and inviting Grand Ballroom and palm-filled Conservatory
of the Ashland Springs Hotel, Oregon chocolate festival
participants include small artisan as well as better
known Oregon chocolatiers: Cary's of Oregon, Dagoba,
Endangered Species, Theobroma, Lillie Belle Farms and
Harry and David. Festival attendees may sample an array
of exotic flavored chocolate bars, crunchy chocolate
covered toffees and rich chocolate enrobed Oregon hazelnuts,
berries and pears, award-winning delights along with
Rogue Ales chocolate stout
and chocolate flavored cheeses from Rogue Creamery.
Chocolate products featured at the festival will be
available for purchase allowing festival attendees to
take home more than just sweet memories! The grand prize
drawing will be the final act of this great two-day
event!

For
a break from all the chocolate tasting, attend seminars
to learn about the nutritional benefits of chocolate
or the growing and processing of a product that goes
so well with chocolate: coffee.
The
Ashland Springs Hotel will feature a Chocolate Cafe,
with hot beverages and chocolate delights prepared by
their Executive Chef, and true lovers of chocolate will
want to spend the night at the Ashland
Springs Hotel as part of their Chocolate Festival
Package.
Oregon
Chocolate Festival Agenda:
Friday March 4th - 2:00pm to 6:00pm -
Oregon Chocolate Festival begins. Vendors present their
products, offer samples and promotional literature.
The Chocolate Café featuring hot beverages and chocolate
delights prepared by our Executive Chef opens in the
palm-filled conservatory. At 5:00pm, a nutrition expert
from Southern Oregon University will give a lecture
on health benefits of chocolate.
Saturday
March 5th -
The Chocolate Café opens again in the conservatory from
9:00am to12:00nn and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. The chocolate
trade show in the Grand Ballroom continues during these
hours. At 10:00am, a seminar on growing and processing
coffee. The grand finale of the first annual Oregon
Chocolate Festival will take place at 5:45pm with the
grand prize drawing for an unforgettable overnight stay
at the Ashland Springs Hotel.
