Earth Day at Chino Hills State Park

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, April 18 for California State Parks Foundation’s 17th Earth Day Restoration and Cleanup.

Help erect fencing around the dirt equestrian parking lot , delineate a horse trail/hike/bike trails & paint & install posts.

Must register online prior to the event!

Earth Day at the Ocean Institute
Saturday, April 25, 2015
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Ocean Institute will be celebrating the 45th anniversary of Earth Day! Celebration and hands-on conservation activities. Activities are included with normal weekend admission.

• Create fun, eco-friendly crafts
• Learn about the importance of protecting natural environments through hands-on activities.
• Volunteer for the beach/harbor clean-up and get free admission for the day!

Admission price is $6.50 for adults (13 yrs+) and $4.50 for children (3 -12 yrs); Children 2 and under are free. Members are free.

Bolsa Chica Conservancy's Earth Day Festival

The Bolsa Chica Earth Day Festival is a fun way to get outside and learn about the environment with the whole family! This fun and educational festival is a treat for the whole family!

Visitors will have the opportunity to touch a live snake, count migrating birds, learn about pollution, test the water, and much more! Alongside a multitude of educational activity booths the festival will also include a jump tent, food sales, and guided tours of the reserve! Entry to event is free!

Earth Day at Crystal Cove State Park

Help celebrate Earth Day at Crystal Cove State Park on Saturday, April 18 from 9-1. Projects include: painting curbs, sweeping ramps, power washing signs, planting cactus, removing concrete and other debris, weeding the hummingbird garden, and cleaning the beach.

"Go Green" and volunteer to plant, weed and clean up the Niguel Botanical Preserve. Celebrate Earth Day by giving back your time to improve the landscaping n our 18-acre preserve. Ages 6 and up

Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration
Saturday, April 25, 2015

Planting, Litter Clean-up, and Green Expo Mustang Run at Los Alisos Boulevard

The City of Mission Viejo is celebrating Earth Day and Arbor Day by hosting an opportunity for volunteers to plant vegetation and clean up litter on Mustang Run at Los Alisos Boulevard. Participants should bring a hat, gloves, boots, sunscreen, and shovels for landscape renovation. Free hotdogs and ice cream to volunteers while supplies last! Additionally, the City will host a Green Expo, which will feature earth-friendly activities and environmental exhibits with tips on water conservation, pollution prevention, and recycling.

Participants can register for this event by bringing the Volunteer Application and Waiver forms to the event.

Earth Day at the Bay
Saturday, April 25, 2014

Newport Bay Conservancy with OC Parks hosts the 25th Annual Earth Day at the Bay featuring environmental discovery exhibits, live entertainment, kids crafts, face painting and scavenger hunt, and short environmental films shown in conjunction with the Newport Beach Film Festival. Parking and admission is free; food from the Burnt Truck, Tamarindo, Front Porch Pops and opportunity drawing tickets available for purchase. Event runs from 10 am to 3 pm.

SAN CLEMENTE

Earth Day
Saturday, April 18, 2015

Join the City of San Clemente and the Watershed Task Force as they organize a day of educational information about how everyone can make a difference in reducing litter, and pollutants which end up in our streets, storm drains, and eventually our beaches, and ocean! The San Clemente Tree Foundation will be there to give away 100 free trees in a variety of sizes - 9-inch, 5-gallon and 15-gallon containers.

The program is lively, featuring music, educational displays, demonstrations, artists, and awards for those who contribute. The day begins with a beach clean up at 8:30am- wear comfortable shoes, we provide the supplies!
