Incorporated in 1960, the city of Los Alamitos is located in the northwest section of Orange County, bordering on the Los Angeles County line. Situated at the junction of the 605, 405, and 22 Freeways, the city is easily accessible from all points.

With a population of 11,536 (2000 census), the City is able to maintain much of its original small town image. Its tree lined residential areas marry well with its energetic business community.
